We are looking for Apiary Sites

We as SA Beekeeper remove wild hives that have set up home in residential  & commercial properties. We do not promote the killing of any honey bees. We relocate them to Apiary Sites in hives where they pollinate crops, wild flowers and trees.SA Beekeeper seeks suitable sites to put their hives. If you own a smallhollding or a farm and would like to encourage a bee friendly environment please feel free to contact us. Although there is no monetary reward, we endeavour to keep our site hosts in regular supply of their own home made honey. The relocated bees will also be pollinating any crops, flowers and trees that you have on your property. Free Bee  removal services are available to you. You too could learn about the interesting hobby or livelihood of beekeeping.

Food Source: there must be suitable forage for bees. Bluegum plantations ideal.

Water Source: there must be a water source near to the Apiary Site.

Accessibility: the beekeeper must be able to get near the hives with his vehicle.

Security: Secure area as this affects the constant cost of vandalism and theft.

Convenience: Hives should not be placed too close to human dwellings or where humans or livestock walk or where the bees can come into contact
